Kettering Skate Plaza RulesThe Rob Dyrdek/DC Shoes Skate Plaza Foundation facility is available to the entire family. The City of Kettering has established the following rules for your safe and enjoyable use of this facility:
1. Please skate wisely at all times. Skateboarding and skating can be hazardous recreational activities. Use of this facility may result in death or serious injury.
2. Use of this facility is strictly at your own risk. The City of Kettering does not assume any responsibility for loss or injuries.
3. Skate within your own skill level.
4. The Skate Park is designed for skateboard and inline skate use only. Riding, operating, or utilizing any device other than skateboards or inline skates is not permitted.
5. Persons ten years of age or younger must be accompanied by an adult.
6. The Skate Park opens at dawn and closes at dusk.
7. Use of this facility is free.
8. The skate plaza is self policing. Please be respectful of all skaters.
9. Use of safety equipment, such as helmets, elbow pads, knee pads and wrist pads, is strongly recommended and encouraged.
10. The following are not permitted in the Skate Park area:
- Alcoholic beverages
- Smoking and/or tobacco products
- Fighting
- Profanity
- Graffiti/tagging
- Pets
- Loud music
- Glass containers
- Bicycles
- Motorized vehicles
- Scooters
- Food and beverages
- Weapons
11. Obstacles, ramps, other equipment or materials are not permitted to be used or added to the facility.
12. Certain weather conditions may create unsafe surfaces for skating.
13. Skate safely and be courteous to other skaters.
14. Spectators are required to remain outside of the skating area.
15. All organized events require advanced, written approval from the City of Kettering.
16. The City of Kettering reserves the right to close this facility for any reason.
17. The City of Kettering authorities, at their discretion, reserve the right to restrict entry to the facility and ask persons to leave the facility as the result of disorderly conduct, disturbance of the peace, rule violations or unsafe behavior. Any person not complying with these rules will not be permitted to use the facility.
